Dorchester Center for the Arts administers the Community Arts Grants program as Dorchester County’s designated arts council. With funding from the Maryland State Arts Council, the program supports arts projects that expand opportunities for county residents to create, participate in, and experience the arts.
Eligible projects may represent dance, theatre, visual arts, music, film and media arts, literary arts, folk, heritage and traditional arts, or multidisciplinary arts programming.
Nonprofit organizations, units of government, public schools and school systems, colleges, and universities may apply. Projects must take place in Dorchester County, benefit county residents, and be open to the general public. School-based projects must take place outside the regular school curriculum and meet all other program requirements.
FY27 grants range from $500 to $2,000. No matching funds are required.
