The St. Michael’s Art League is one of the premier art organizations in Talbot County, serving artists and art lovers in the Mid-Shore and beyond. Beginning with a handful of members more than 30 Years ago, their current roster includes more than 100 members.
The exhibition, Slice of Life, features a selection of multimedia artworks from their kaleidoscope of members that include Still Lifes, Plein Air and Landscapes. These works explore the quiet moments and everyday beauty that surround us. Through painting, watercolor, photography, sculpture, mixed media, and more, the SMAL share a glimpse of the artist’s life on the Eastern Shore.
A little about The St Michaels Art League:
SMAL encourages members to explore their creativity and learn new skills by providing demos at their monthly meetings and occasional workshops. They also provide several venues for regular judged and non-judged exhibits with opportunities to sell work.
The league is committed to encourage young people interested in art by hosting guided painting for young children at community events and to High School students by an annual exhibit featuring their art and scholarship money to students pursuing a design related field.
