Author Posey Boicourt presents “Blue Tulip” a charming memoir buoyed with significant historical research. “Blue Tulip” explores the forgotten world of a portrait painter from whom she is a direct descendant.

Posey’s passion for artistic adventures was fueled by two degrees in anthropology with a focus on sociocultural networks and their influence on the individual artist. Her first job included news writing at the Texas State Commission on the Arts. She also served as writer for the James Michener collection of Twentieth Century American Art at the University of Texas at Austin, learning to research under the guidance of Rusty Powell, recently retired Director of the National Gallery of Art in DC.
