This workshop will demonstrate how undomesticated cloth can be! Join us for this fun multi-generational workshop where we will look at fabric’s history as a radical tool for communication, then use appliqué and other surface techniques to make back patches, banners, and flags that convey personal and political messages, using both text and images. We don’t know what the future will look like, but we can share and create what is important to us – our opinions, hopes, dreams, and outrages – by making a fabric banner for a window, a flag for the front door, or a patch for your denim jacket.
