Jack Knight: Painting in Transition

April 18 @ 11:00 am - May 29 @ 5:00 pm

From Geometric Abstraction transitioning to Visual Symbolic Expression, using recognizable images, symbols and icons in creating a composition. Knight invites the viewer to decide the storyline. Painting in Transition exhibits a decade of painting exploration through dynamic color, clean lines and repetition.

He was an adjunct art instructor with Empire State College/SUNY and Niagara County Community College in New York. Years later at Rutgers-Camden, Burlington, Camden and Gloucester Community Colleges in NJ.

In 2007, Knight was a visiting artist at the National Academy of Design in NY. In 2021 he received the Established Fellowship for Sculpture from the Delaware Division of the Arts. Jack has over 200 exhibits, including over 25 solo shows, most recently an exhibit of mixed medium constructions at the Noyes Arts Garage in Atlantic City.
