Windy is an Eastern Shore native, fiber artist, and owner of Kaire’je Studios, a fiber arts retail business on Taylor’s Island that carries high quality and unusual fibers and materials. Windy is passionate about knitting and felting and is familiar with many fiber art forms. She teaches at DCA helping new and experienced knitters bring their own unique flare to their work. In her position as Financial Administrator, Windy is responsible for a complete and systematic record of all financial transactions of the organization as required by proper auditing procedures, state, and federal laws. She works on grants, tax preparation, account reconciliations, financial reports, and more. As Curator for StudioWorks, DCA’s onsite artisan gift shop, Windy coordinates with the artists, manages the commissions and payments, and facilitates the jury process.
