Tuesdays with Laura

Laura Era is a professional landscape and portrait artist, a teacher of painting for over 35 years and gallery owner. Tuesdays with Laura presents a selection of her original portraiture, alongside oil paintings and art works in pastel from her creative camaraderie of art students.

Her spacious art studio at Solomon’s Cove is where her students gather to learn, create and grow as artists.

For the past 28 years, Era has also been known in the Maryland art community as the owner of the prestigious Troika Gallery in historic Easton. She is a member of The National Portrait Society and Maryland Society of Portrait Painters, The Maryland Pastel Society and The Working Artist Forum.

Tuesdays with Laura honors her students’ dedication to learning by teaching them all aspects of painting and presenting their work. She believes in “paying it forward with the gifts God has given her”. This exhibition features a diverse body of work from fifteen artists/students including portraits (people and pets), land and seascapes, still lives, florals, and scenes from everyday moments. Era’s own portraits go beyond likeness, they capture the spirit and presence of each sitter. Together, these works invite viewers to reflect on the human stories that quietly shape our daily lives.
