Seasonal Shifts / Marcia Reed

Marcia Reed’s visual narrative is that she loves to paint nature’s forms. This could be landscapes that include water, trees, clouds, plant life and gardens. She states that it is the life force in nature that moves her and provides endless material to paint. Nothing is still in her work.

It is the borderline between the conventional separation of abstraction and representation that is exciting to her. It is discovering that interchange dialogue where the shapes, fluid lines and movement and their reaction to each other may create an emotional response. She creates from a space of centeredness now, authenticity and quite simply the natural world around her.

Marcia Reed holds a BFA and MFA from the University of Massachusetts, has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions, and is the owner of Gallery 37~ A Destination for Artful Living, in Milford DE.

Second Saturday Artists’ Reception will be held on October 14, 5-7 pm. Meet the artists and enjoy live music and light refreshments. Free! All are welcome.
