Lower Shore Addiction Awareness Visual Arts Competition – Dorchester!

Each year United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore presents the Lower Shore Addiction Awareness Visual Arts Competition. The competition is open to high school students in Dorchester, Somerset, Worcester, and Wicomico Counties.  The competition is an opportunity for students to explore the theme of substance use disorder awareness and recovery, exercise their creativity, and have their art displayed to the wider community. The critical conversations their art encourages are key to keeping opioid use awareness, and hope for recovery, integrated in our community and family conversations. This exhibit includes 2024 entries from students in Dorchester County.

The 2024 competition is sponsored through the generous support of the Rotary Club of Salisbury, TidalHealth, and individual donors. Throughout the year, the art is displayed at community events across the Lower Shore.  Additional information about the Lower Shore
