In this one day workshop, explore ways to abstract a landscape from your own image. The workshop begins with a brief discussion on abstract landscapes and various methods to break down your image to simple forms. Working from a limited palette in Oil or Acrylic, work through simplifying your scene beginning with a value sketch to aid in creating a final painting on canvas. Oil or acrylic experience recommended. Abby will provide individual attention throughout the day. Students should plan to bring lunch or snack for a mid day break. Maximum 10 students per workshop.
