Judith Slaughter

Judy Slaughter – member of the Cambridge community for over 25 years. Prior to her move from Baltimore, Judy served as the Director of the Governor’s Drug & Alcohol Prevention Coalition’s Maryland Drug-Free Workplace Initiative under Governor Schaefer. Upon retirement, Judy volunteered as the Horticultural Therapy Specialist with the Eastern Shore Hospital Center (ESHC). At the present time, she is their Director of Volunteer Services. Judy has a graduate degree in Adulthood and Aging from Notre Dame College and is a Certified Employee Assistance Professional. She enjoys working with the elderly and mentally challenged. As Director in the State mental health facility, Judy provides recreational activities and supportive programs. She is a certified Master Gardener and enjoys ‘digging in the dirt’ and educating community members about best practices for the Chesapeake Bay. She is the author of Mosey & Bozey, A Very Likely Tail – a ‘family book’ on issues surrounding families and aging. Judy is dedicated to providing ‘arts for all” in Dorchester County.
