Stained Glass for Beginners and Intermediates

This class is intended to introduce you to what’s involved in the craft of stained glass. The finished
piece will be a 12 x 12 Tiffany-style panel using the copper foil method. Students will be shown how
to recognize and fix problems with patterns, how to choose colors that work well together, and how to
use all the tools that are on hand. Cutting, grinding, soldering and final fabrication will be taught in this
class.If you are experienced in working with glass and the tools, come join us! No open toed shoes
for safety!

pleasure of pastel painting so appealing! C. G. Miles has worked in pastels for more than 40 years
and will share her experience and appreciation for the medium as well as reveal helpful guidance in
the creating paintings that please. Photos, still-life setups and demonstrations will be used during the

Pressed Yarn Workshop
Description:

Paco’s workshops give participants an overview of the Arte en Estambre technique and make
connections to Mexican artistic and cultural traditions. Arte en Estambre are artworks on wood
surfaces that are covered with two types of wax (from Mexico) onto which yarn is pressed, cut,
shaped, one-by-one, into an intricate original artwork. Participants will create their own pressed yarn
work of art on a pre-cut flat surface using materials only available in Mexico.
