Empty Bowls Pop-up Exhibition

February / Front Gallery

Hunger takes no break for Covid-19!

While the pandemic prohibits the traditional Empty Bowls soup supper, Dorchester Center for the Arts will feature a selection of painted bowls on exhibit in the front gallery during the month of February. Each bowl is a take-home reminder that someone else’s bowl is empty.

Empty Bowls is an international project to fight hunger. Each annual event is personalized by artists and organizations on a community level. Empty Bowls 2021 is presented by the Dorchester Center for the Arts and the Dorchester Chamber of Commerce.

Business sponsors will be supporting this effort, with donations of discounts and coupons to “fill” these bowls. All proceeds from sales and sponsorships will benefit Dorchester County food pantries.

Bowls are $20 each payable by cash or check only. Please make checks out to Dorchester Center for the Arts with the memo line “Empty Bowls” All proceeds go to local food pantries.

Thanks to Dori Weber and Partners 1st Federal Credit Union, sponsors of this event!
