Annual Young Peoples Show

The Annual Young Peoples Show will feature the work of school age youth in Dorchester County. The show is judged, with awards presented for first, second and third place in Elementary, Middle, and High School entries. Additionally, one Best in Show, Top Digital Work, Top Fine Art, and Top Interpretation will be selected from the winning entries.

Second Saturday Artists’ Reception and Awards Ceremony will be held on May 14 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with refreshments and live music by Emma Kate Bailey and Makayla Faulkner. Admission is free and all are welcome.

To continue the focus on youth, a concert in the George B. Todd Performance Hall will follow the gallery reception. “Mike Elzeys Student Showcase” will feature talented young music students ages 6-17 years old. For decades Mike has been an instructor and mentor for young musicians on the Eastern Shore. He and his instructors have taught thousands of children and adults to play and enjoy music through lessons, camps, and workshops.
