Location: Dorchester County Office Building | Parking Lot and Waterfront grounds of 501 Court Ln, Cambridge, MD 21613
A band of Chalk Artists from across the country will be joining us for two days on the last weekend of October. These artists have been selected by the “Chalk Mafia” Facebook group to participate with Hoopers Island’s Chalk Artist Ed Krell at this 2nd annual festival that will celebrate the art of Chalk. There will be a Chalk Art workshop for all ages on-site led by Lori Antoinette of LAntArt.com each day of the event and opportunities for the public to experience this interactive medium at the festival. The Festival is a free, family-friendly event held rain or shine as attendees walk through to watch the process and meet the artists. Come by Saturday morning to see how it all begins and circle back on Sunday to be amazed by the finished pieces. There will also be entertainment by local live bands throughout both days with food, art, and nonprofit vendors from Dorchester County. Mental Health information will be presented on the music stage as well in between sets by local organizations working in the field.

The community is invited to participate in this Free live art event. There will be 7 visiting Chalk Artists to watch as their work develops over the two days.
We are offering spaces to chalk for people or groups that would like to chalk with recognition at the end for adults and youth groups.
